Managing Backup Sets Containing Active Directory Data

Backup for Workgroups automatically includes the Active Directory databases when you run the All Local Drives backup set.

If you would like the option of choosing whether or not the Active Directory databases are included in a particular backup set, choose the Backup only the files and folders selected option.  Active Directory and Exchange Server appear below the System Files (Registry) components in the directory tree.
