Once you have defined a backup set, you can specify the following tasks:

• When your Backup Session Completes...
  You may choose to send an email, close the Backup for Workgroups progress screen automatically, turn off your computer, or write results to the Windows Event Log.
• Open File Support Fallback.
  Backup for Workgroups interacts with a component in Windows called Volume Shadow Services (VSS) in order to access files that are in use at the time of the backup. This Windows component can, at times, fail to operate. When Windows is in a situation where VSS cannot be utilized, you can specify and alternate route that the backup process can take. The options that you have to fallback on are:

  Outlook/Outlook Express - When you select this option, the Backup Client shutdown Outlook and shutdown services in order to reduce the number of files that are locked and in use.

  Select Services - When you select this option, you can select services that will be stopped before the backup begins and these services will be restarted, in reverse order, after the completion of the backup process.

• Run an Application.
  Press the Specify Applications button if you would like Backup for Workgroups to run an application before or after each backup.
