Message Log Panel

The Message Log displays information about events that occur during backups and restores. It also shows information about the general operations of Backup for Workgroups.

To view the Message Log:

• Run Backup for Workgroups.

• Press the Message Log button on the side panel or choose View > Message Log from the menu bar.

To clear all entries from the Message Log:

• Right click on the Message Log.  

• Select Clear.

To view the complete Message Log comments:

• Double-click on any entry with clipped text to bring up a secondary window that displays the information in its entirety.

To control the Message Log display:

1. Choose Tools > Preferences.

2. Click on the Message Log tabbed page.

3. Select the types of messages that you would like sent to the Message Log.

4. Specify the total number of messages to display in the log. When the number of messages exceeds the limit, new messages push the oldest messages off the bottom of the list.

5. Press OK to save your changes.
